Growing up, our family home was always full of photos. I spent hours lost in albums, a habit I still cherish today. My early love of photographing anyone and everything is where my passion began. I still remember the anticipation of waiting for film to be developed, often discovering half the images hadn’t worked and earning a reputation for chopping people’s heads off — oh how far I’ve come.

Life now is busy, chaotic and full of fun thanks to my two energetic boys. I wouldn’t change it for anything. I’m passionate about documenting milestones, adventures and authentic family connections, capturing real moments, emotions and stories families can treasure forever.

Re-imagining landscape art through photography has long been central to Janyne’s practice. Based in Central Otago, she is inspired not only by the region’s dramatic scenery, but by its quieter, softer moments and muted ambience. Her work reflects a balanced, contemporary style that uses colour, shape, texture, and pattern to convey feeling and meaning rather than simple documentation. Janyne carefully edits, prints, and frames all her own work, selling it from her workshop and gallery in Ranfurly. Highly regarded nationally and internationally, she is a Grand Master of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography, its highest distinction.

As a long time member of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography, I have won over  100 awards in annual print judging for NZIPP and AIPP. and numerous Kodak Gold awards.

As a boutique photographer I cover all facets of weddings and portraiture, commercial work, landscapes, and stunning digital art work. Images are suitable for all media. I also offer videography.

Nicola has been part of Kelk Photography for over 16 years and has recently taken over the business.  Nic loves photographing weddings, families and children.  She has won multiple awards for her work and continues to grow and push herself as a photographer. In 2015 she was awarded ‘NZIPP Creative Portrait Photographer of the year’. She is currently a Master with distinction of the NZIPP (New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography). Nic's passion is wedding photography and her work has a classic, timless quality to it. Nicola also volunteers as a photographer for the ‘Heartfelt’ and 'A Star is born' charities.
